Advent Calender...1st day of Christmas

Hey all...and welcome to my version of the Twelve Days of Christmas.

I decided I was going to make myself create and post something for 12 days and I thought what better way to do that then to do the whole Christmas theme.

I have to say I love the way my advent calenders turned out...the only thing I didn't like was making 3 of them. I did one for each of the grand kids families....so did one for Syd and Shel...and one for Deegs and Kins. I made one for myself...and by that time I was really really really tired of the whole thing.

I did get a little smarter as I got to the 3rd one...the first two I cut my numbers on my Cricut and then had to glue them all on. That was not the best idea. Then last night about 11:00 I thought...wow...maybe I should just print the numbers out on the computer and punch them out. That would have been a great idea about 3 days ago. Oh well...live and learn. They are done and I can give them to the kids on Thanksgiving, just in time for the countdown to start.

I found the boxes at Hobby Lobby half off...yippee...I love a deal.

Enjoy and leave me a comment if you have any questions.

  2. Girl, I feel your pain. Three of these beauties. OMG they are wonderful! The boxes look like they can be used year after year. Are they wooden? What goes in the goodies drawers, presents from Grandma or do the kids have to do something everyday and fill them themselves? Love them Betty, can you tell? Happy Thanksgiving.

  3. Thanks Linda...The boxes are not wooden...they are a hard cardboard. Very sturdy though. I filled them with little treats. Just some kisses...the chocolate kind...little bags of m&m's...all kinds of goodies. They were fun to fill. In mine instead of candy I put fun little Christmas memories. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful holiday.
