Whew...day 12

Last day of my 12 days of Christmas. It has been fun...but such a busy time...so it is not always easy to get everything done. I am sure all of you go through the something this time of year.

I did Birthday books for some of my friends this year. They are so easy and so handy to have.

I found the template for the months at Paper trey ink as a free download. Can't beat that!

I just covered a couple of pieces of chip board with printed paper and decorated.

If you are needing chip board cut...the easiest place is Kinko's. They will cut it for you and they are very reasonable. I think Office Max will also cut it for you. It sure is an easy way to get book covers if you are wanting to do little chip board books for the holidays.

Please enjoy and come back and see me. I will be back before the holidays and hopefully posting some layouts.

I am heading to Charleston for a couple of days to do some shopping and have some daughter time!

Have a great day!

Sassy Cheryl holiday cards...day 11

Hey all...two more of Sassy Cheryl's images that I colored and made a couple of cards. Jumping Jack Santa and Christmas Bellringer are the images. That little boy is one of my very favorites.

I just used my Copics and did some coloring on them and made two quick cards.

Enjoy and stop back.

Day 10...JOY

Good morning fellow crafters. Hope you had a great weekend. Ours was busy as always but we took time and went to one of our local Christmas shows on Saturday. That is always a good way to get into the holiday spirit.

I made this layout a while back...still trying to work on last years Christmas pictures...so this was a layout of Sydney doing her usual holiday baking with me. She is the one who always is ready to help me bake.

The papers I used on this layout were October morning. The gingerbread man is cut at 3 inches From my Kitchen cartridge. The back ground paper is a cut from Winter Woodlands and it is about 10 inches.

Enjoy and have a great day!

All American Snowman card...day 9!

Hey all...hope this day finds you all doing well and ready for a great weekend. I love Fridays...always seems like a holiday.

I made this card last night from a stamp that I bought years...yes I said years...ago. I don't think I have ever even done anything with it. I thought it was so cute so decided last night was the night. All I did was stamp it on cream card stock and colored it with my Copics. I added a little ribbon and a snowflake embellishment. That's it.

Have a great day...and enjoy your weekend. See you all soon.

Show me Thursday...peeking in...

Hey all...well, the good thing about Thursday it that it makes me clean up my scrap space. It was a big ole mess this morning and I was trying to work on some things for gifts and I had no space. I usually look at it as organized chaos...but there was no organized to it just lots of chaos this week.

I have been working on several things...a little coloring and a little crafting. Trying to get back to scrapping before the holidays. Would love to get last years Christmas album done before Christmas 10 gets here. What do you think my chances are of that happening!?

Thanks for stopping by...it gave me a good excuse to do a little house work.

Tis the season...day 8

Yip...tis the season that I am always trying to figure out little gifts for "secret Santa" gifts or holiday favors. I have decided that half the fun of the gift is the cute wrapping or bag. Sooo that being said...today I did some easy peasy things to wrap or use for that secret Santa gift.

The little bag is just a small paper bag. I gathered some Stampin Up ribbon around a big button for the top and added the mittens from the New Jolly Holiday Cricut Cartridge. Now that is a fun cart and I guess it is hard to find...(I found mine by accident at Walmart when i was supposed to be getting groceries!)

I wrapped some tic tacs up in vellum and just tied a cute tag on...the tag is from Winter Woodlands...cut at 3 inches. Any kind of little box or bag of goodies seem more special if you add a handmade tag or label to it. The tags were just a Stampin Up stamp and I matted them and tied some cute string on. That is it for today...thanks so much for stopping by. Let me know if you have any questions.

Have a great day!

Holiday goodies...day 7

Been feeling like such a slacker lately...been trying to do too many things at one time and not doing justice to any of them. Ever had days like that. Well...back up to the craft room today after a 3 day layoff to decorate the house for the holidays. I think the house is about done and I am about done in!

For my post today I made a little sample of all kinds of treats that are so great for class room gifts...Sunday school gifts...just anyone that you want to give a sweet treat to.

I used the Tags Till Christmas....from Stampin Up. Love that set...have used it a lot already. Love the punches that go with them too. The tin and the square cylinder came from Paper Trey Ink. Such cute containers to decorate.

Please enjoy and stop back soon.

The Simplest of Gifts color me challenge...

Welcome and take a look at one of Sassy Cheryl's new images. This little girl is one of the sweetest I have ever seen. Such a wonderful image and makes you stop and think about this holiday season. Thank you Cheryl for another beautiful Digi Stamp.

Love & Joy...day 6!

Good morning and happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday weekend. It was certainly busy around here. Family...decorating...a little crafting and brunch at High Cotton in Charleston. Whew...no wonder I was tired last night.

Back to normal today though and I have a whole "to do" list laying on the counter looking at me, so I am going to see how many things I can check off that list.

First on the list is post day 6!

This is some of last years Christmas pictures...no they are not all scrapped yet. I used the Winter Woodland cartridge. Love those snowflakes on that Cart. I wasn't sure I liked the layout but I do love the pictures, so that makes it a little better.

Enjoy your day and stop and see me later. I will be posting something for the Sassy Cheryl Challenge later.

Blessings...

Holiday wishes....day 5

Yes I know I missed a day....exhaustion finally caught up with me and after doing a little shopping yesterday and some decorating...I knew I didn't have the energy to blog anything!

I made these two cards from images I got from Sassy Cheryl. This little cappuccino snowman is just about the cutest guy I have seen. He was fun to color...and the card was quick and easy.

The "Charlie Brown " tree is one of Cheryl's designs too. She is one talented lady. Check out her website she has new designs each week and lots of fun challenges.

Thanks for stopping by and next week I will be back at it.

Have a good evening.

Happy Thanksgiving...day 4

My Thanksgiving Centerpiece....

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving. What a wonderful holiday to remember all of our blessings. Table is set and food is cooking. The house smells great and I can hardly wait for all the kids to get here and the fun to begin. Of course tonight will be a different story...I will be exhausted...but a good exhausted.

I made these little place cards for my table. I know it is really not a Christmas craft...but it will work for any holiday. I used the Stampin Up Top Note die for the top. I just printed every ones name off on the computer and added a couple of punches. So easy to do on this very busy day.

So very thankful for Family...Friends...and all my extended crafting family.

Love and Blessings to all.

Tin and Note pad...day 3

Good morning and happy day before Thanksgiving. I love this day...I usually spend it getting the house ready for company and then start all the cooking process. I do love to cook and this day is a fun excuse to spend the day in my kitchen.

I made this easy peasy little tin and note pad for a holiday hostess gift. Found these little tins at World Market and just put some printed paper around it with a stamp...topped it off with a snow flake from my Cricut. The stamps were all from Stampin Up. The little notepad is from Michael's and covered it with some card stock.

This is such a nice little gift for someone who has done something special for you.

Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.

Christmas Note cards....Day 2...if your counting!

On the second day of Christmas...well no turtle doves...but I did make some cute little note cards. These little cuties are 3 by 3. The paper is from Graphic 45 Christmas Past 8 by 8 pack. I love that paper. Beautiful little prints that work great for these cards. I didn't do my own envelopes this time...I had some on hand from Paper trey Ink.

The stamps I used were a little bit of everything. I used...Got Treats and Christmas Punch from Stampin Up and Good Cheer from Technique Tuesday.

The box I made is cut at 6 1/2 by 6 1/2 and scored at 1 1/4 on all sides. I loved the way it turned out. I did several of these for little gifts.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you'll come back tomorrow.

Have a great day!

Advent Calender...1st day of Christmas

Hey all...and welcome to my version of the Twelve Days of Christmas.

I decided I was going to make myself create and post something for 12 days and I thought what better way to do that then to do the whole Christmas theme.

I have to say I love the way my advent calenders turned out...the only thing I didn't like was making 3 of them. I did one for each of the grand kids families....so did one for Syd and Shel...and one for Deegs and Kins. I made one for myself...and by that time I was really really really tired of the whole thing.

I did get a little smarter as I got to the 3rd one...the first two I cut my numbers on my Cricut and then had to glue them all on. That was not the best idea. Then last night about 11:00 I thought...wow...maybe I should just print the numbers out on the computer and punch them out. That would have been a great idea about 3 days ago. Oh well...live and learn. They are done and I can give them to the kids on Thanksgiving, just in time for the countdown to start.

I found the boxes at Hobby Lobby half off...yippee...I love a deal.

Enjoy and leave me a comment if you have any questions.

Betty

show me Thursdays...well that's a lot to show!

My main work space...working on my little 3 by 3 note cards and a little box. It will be on my blog FINISHED...this week as one of my 12 days of Christmas. Notice my new favorite snack...World Table Pizzeria Snack mix! Yummo!

Next thing I started this week was advent calenders for the grandkids. Learned a little something along the way...Learned I don't want to make any more! They turned out cute...and will be posted later today.
The Sassy Cheryl image I am going to color...soon!

Hey all...Over at Sassy Cheryl's they do this fun little thing where you show them what is on your desk that you are working on. Boy O Boy...that is a challenge.

What desk are you talking about? First I need to find the bottom of one so I can take a picture. I worked all last week on some projects that I want to use to start my 12 days of Christmas Blog posts. You will see the first one today...but first I am going to show you what was on my desk last Thursday...I really did take the pics on Thursday...just now getting around to posting.

Thanks for looking and come see the finished products!

Hugs to all...

Cards for my Little Turkeys...

Well..my grandson came over on Saturday and ask me if I was making him and his sister a card. He had seen some different cards on my work table that I had been working on...he then proceeded to tell me that he liked the ones with candy in. Nothing like special order cards...He is a little sugar bug and loves candy, so I couldn't not make all my little "turkeys" an early Thanksgiving card.

I cut the turkey at 5 inches from the Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge. I used the 1 3/4 circle punch from Stampin Up. It is the perfect fit with the Stampin Up candy cups.

Enjoy the cards and hope to see you soon,

Jumping Jack Santa...Color Me Contest

Good Morning all...and happy Monday. It is a beautiful day in South Carolina...we are getting a few more days of 70's before some cool weather comes in. I love this time of year...warm days and chilly nights..perfect!

I think maybe that was my inspiration for this cute Jumping Jack Santa from Sassy Cheryl. I just can't seem to put away those fall colors. I liked this Santa in his woodsy colors...of course he will change before the big day and put on the usual red suit. For any of you that have not checked out Sassy Cheryl's website...please do. She offers some wonderful images to download and color. So fun..who doesn't love to color!

Thank you Cheryl for another great image to color.

Thank you all for stopping by and come back soon.

Have a wonderful day...

Blessings,

Betty

Sassy Cheryl Challenge #37

After I got these cards made I got on Sassy Cheryl's site and realized they were having a challenge using ribbon or Tulle...well that is a fun challenge cause it seems I usually have a little ribbon on everything....so decided to join the fun and join the challenge. Enjoy!

Snowman Parts...just a cute image...simple card...on the inside it says "Snowflakes are just unassembled snowmen."

After last nights class I decided to do a little coloring. I love Cheryl's designs. So very sassy and so fun to color! I mean who doesn't love to color!

I got out the Copic's and had some fun. This morning I made a couple of cards with them. The little saying on the gift image is from Paper Trey Ink. Please enjoy and stop back soon.
