back to school...

Does it seem possible that we are heading into August and it is almost school time? I don't know where my summer has gone...but it has gone way to fast.

I have spent a couple afternoons in my scrap room and have had fun looking at some of the things I have bought and not even played with yet. Do not tell me that you have not done the same thing! Well...it has been fun because I have played with some new stamps and found some long lost paper that I just had to have.

I made this back to school card, bookmark, and little treat can from the Stampin Up set....First Day. It is a sweet set and would be great for teachers or mom's that are really good to teachers!

The stamp on the front of the can is from the Smarty Pants set...another great set. I also used the mini library clips on the card and the can. Those are the cutest little embellishment and perfect for a little extra something on a card or layout.

The can I covered is a cappuccino can...don't throw anything away!!!

Please enjoy and stop back for a visit. I love hearing from you.

Welcome Will....

My children are now at that age where all of their friends are either getting married or having babies...I needed another "baby Bucket" for Emily's good friend Susan.

Will was born a couple of weeks ago and I can hardly wait to deliver this treat for Will and his Mama. His daddy is a fire fighter, so that made it easy to decide how to do his paint can. I knew his new room had some fire trucks in it...so it was fun to be able to do something that I knew would match the nursery.

I used my circut and did the fire truck and all the accessories from Everyday Paper Dolls. The"it's a boy" came from The New Arrival cartridge.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a note or a comment I love hearing from you.

Chip Board Beach Book

As promised...I did do one more beach book and it is actually for me. I usually end up making so many and by the time I get around to doing one for me I am out of the mood. I stuck with it and finished it this afternoon. I did a lot more stamping and a few more details on mine since I had more time. I used Artful Legacy stamps and Stampin Up stamps....plus a few random stamps I had on hand. This is just a few of the pages...as it will only let me upload 5 pictures. I actually used 7 pieces of chipboard. I think it turned out really cute.
I made a cd pocket on the last page so I could keep all of pictures together.

All the papers are from Making Memories...Grandma's Kitchen collection.

Thanks for stopping by...

take a look and let me know what you think.

chip board books....

Where have you been???? That is what everyone has been asking me. I really haven't fallen off the earth...but as always it has been a very busy summer.

The past two days I have been hole up in my scrap room trying to make a little something for all my girlfriends that came down for our girls weekend.

After looking every where for chipboard books...that were not going to take forever to do...I ended up at Kinko's. They were great. My friendly Kinko man...not only had a light weight chipboard, but he cut them for me for a very reasonable price. I love that!

I had him cut the pieces at 6by6, 6by7, 6by8, and 6by9. Found some great papers from Memory Makers...called Grandma's kitchen. Perfect colors for beach pictures.

I kept the books simple as I had to do 8 of them. I don't like to make 8 of anything! That being said...they went together very quickly and I thought they turned out cute. On the back of the book I made a pocket to put a cd of all the pictures I took during their stay.

I am still working on mine...so I will post pictures of that one later. I am stamping a little more on mine.

Please enjoy and leave me a note if you have any questions...love hearing from you.
