It's a boy paint can

My very best friend Joyce is getting ready for her new Grandson...we are so excited...so for a shower gift for her beautiful Daughter-in-law Julie, I made a "baby can".

I used lots of cuts from New Arrival and lots of Stampin Up stamps. She is doing her nursery with some Navy and White...so I just used navy, red, and white for the colors.

I will fill the can with lotions for Mama and Baby and a gift card so she can get all those "little" things they will need.

Thanks for stopping by and leave me a note if you have a question or comment.

I love mail!!!

I ordered the couple of the Americana ones and have had the best time using my Copic Markers on them.

Why I have not been crafting.....

I have been on a little vacay this week...well if you call camping vacation. We have two of the four grandchildren with us. Let me tell you...keeping up with a six year old and a four year old is no vacation. I have cooked more this week than I normally do in my beautiful kitchen that is not full of flies and bugs. Oh the things I do for my husband and grand babies.

It has been fun...very hot...and very exhausting...but when I am scrapping all the hundreds of pictures I have been taking, I know I will have wonderful memories....and No Bugs!

4th of July cards....

No one loves the 4th of July as much as I do. I love everything about it ...family, food, fireworks, and all that wonderful red, white, and blue stuff that goes with it.

I was playing the other day and messin with some of my stamps and realized that I had some new 4th ones that I had not even played with yet.

The picnic basket is from a cute set called vintage picnic from papertreyink. The firecracker one is from Archivers.

Nothing too special about these cards except they are sure fun to make.

Thanks for stopping by and come back soon...

Simple things...small joys

Good morning...I stayed up late last night and played up in the scrap room. Worked on a card using one of Artful Legacy's stamps. It is the "mixing bowl and flour" stamp. Fun stamp for a thinking of you card. I cut the mixer from my Cricut at 2 1/2 inches using the Kitchen Cartridge.

The paper I used was from the Material Girl Mini Deck by Cosmo Cricket....my new paper obsession! I used the Fiskers scallop punch and layered 3 pieces of scalloped paper.

The simple things...small joys stamp up in the corner is from papertreyink.com.

Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions leave me a note.

Have a great day and stay cool!

Girls are back in town!!!

Hey all...sorry I have not posted anything in a while, I have had a house full of very fun company. Eight of my girl friends from Indiana all came to visit the beach. What a wonderful weekend we had. So many laughs and memories. They left yesterday, after having to rearrange flights because of the Spirit Airlines strike. What a mess that was, but all worked out and we had a great time despite Spirit trying to rain on our parade.

The minute they left I missed them and was ready to start planning next years trip.

I wanted to share some of my pictures of them with all of you.

I promise I am going to post some craft things this afternoon.

Thanks for stopping by and come back soon.
